For the time being, we are still working in the application so it is not ready for the general public. You can, however, register for early access and we will let you know when the application is ready for use.
We are a small team with limited resources, and still working out the details of workflow in the application. Those who receive early access can start using the application while still in heavy development, and have the opportunity to contribute and shape it for the entire community.
We have planned a deployment of the application in features and capabilities as our user base grows, and we learn with it. Access will be by invitation until we feel confident the application is ready for massive use. Also, we want to make sure our users feel safe and among peers. We are interested in quality of content more than quantity of users.
We don’t want to monetize the website or the application with advertisements, nor we want to collect and sell user information. On the same line of thought, we do not want to make a distinction between “normal” and “premium” accounts. We don’t feel this is fair. Instead, we are testing to implement a method borrowed from the cryptocurrency’s world and implement an in-site currency to perform certain operations.
Bolts are our in-app currency to support the operations of the website. Users spend in certain operations, which in some cases are also distributed in part also for other users. For example, when a user transfers an original design to other user, the bolts used in the operation are split and a portion submitted to the creator of the design.
The name and symbol of Bolts represent the expenses in electricity, hardware, and human capital used to keep the application working.
Yes. In each transfer, part of the bolts used are credited to the original creator (as long as is a user of the site).
Bolts can be bought in packages with online payment, transfered between users, or received as award from certain operations.
At the moment, it is not possible to convert Bolts into fiat or crypto currencies.
The user who creates an original work in our site, is considered as the author, unless he/she identifies the author as another person.
It is not so easy to “get banned” in Tiny Trove. We are still working the details of this process, but assuming the banning is not due to improper content (see our Terms of Service), the banned user will have a grace period to download his work out of the site before his account is deleted from our system.
More to come soon…
